Ultrafiltration System Contractor in Philippines
This industry involves blending, saponification, emulsification, and packaging of soaps, shampoos, cleaners, and cosmetics. During these processes, wastewater is generated from batch cleaning, floor washing, and raw material handling. In addition, air emissions arise from volatile fragrances, chemical mixing, and heating operations. Therefore, effective treatment systems are essential for compliance and product quality.
Moreover, wastewater typically contains Biological Oxygen Demand (BOD) of 1,500–5,000 mg/L and Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) up to 8,000 mg/L. It also includes Total Suspended Solids (TSS) of 1,000–3,000 mg/L, along with surfactants, color, foaming agents, and fragrance oils. The pH may vary from 4 to 10. At the same time, air emissions can include volatile organic compounds (VOCs), misting agents, and synthetic fragrance vapors. As a result, both water and air treatment systems are required.
In terms of water treatment, the process begins with an equalization tank to stabilize flow and load. This is followed by Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) to remove oils, surfactants, and foaming agents. Furthermore, a Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR) is used to reduce BOD and COD biologically. Activated carbon filtration is then applied to remove residual surfactants, color, and odor. For air treatment, activated carbon scrubbers and odor control units are used to capture VOCs and fragrances.
