Our core value besides being distinctive, these beliefs create a framework for Avlon actions. These values guide everything we do, including how we interact with our employees, how we interact with our customers and community, and how we interact with our vendors and business partners. As we grow, our processes and strategies may change, but these 6 Core Values will remain the same.

Working in Avlon means being humble and staying hungry. We are humble in acknowledging the limitations of our perspectives. We are hungry to learn from anyone and anywhere. Hungry to improve ourself, hungry to succeed, hungry to inspire and helping others is deeply embedded in us. Hungry to be seen and to be heard and to have an effect, is the driving force in our day-to-day work. We work not simply to exist, to survive but to move ahead, to go up, to achieve, to conquer and all this is possible only by being humble and staying hungry.

It's not just about being small, it's about doing more and better with less. We in Avlon teach and mentor how people can produce better results by artfully and intelligently using less. The future belongs to those who understand that doing more with less is compassionate, prosperous, and enduring, and thus more intelligent, even competitive. As with our factory, so within our office, the smaller the piece of work assigned to any single individual, the less skill it requires, and the less likely the possibility that doing it well will lead to doing something more effective, efficient and economical. Efficiency is elegant – We do better things with less resource – we are elegant.

In Avlon whatever we do we measure and we make every measurement relate to impact. This mere act of moving to impact-based measurement tends, has year on year, improved our outcomes. We have two dimensions to our focus on impact. Internal focus of impact & External focus of Impact. Our internal focus of impact is towards all what we do internally as team. We measure the impact of all what we do to improve ourself and which in turn helped us stop measuring activity. Our focus on impact value system helped us in prioritizing our day-to-day work activity for more positive impact. Our external focus of impact towards our customer. We don’t sell product to our customer; we sell solutions to their problem to make positive impact on their business. We thoroughly understand the problem by first immersing ourselves in the world of their problem. We do that not just by watching and interviewing them but by becoming them, infiltrating them almost like an undercover cop, and then involving them in our design to solve their problem.

“The fool didn’t know it was impossible, so he did it.” We dare to keep that logical thinking aside for a few moments, and we love to believe that sky is actually the limit. When we develop our product, when we set our system, process and procedures we looked beyond the convention so that we really see endless possibilities for ourselves. After all, being different isn’t easy. It takes guts to stand out of the herd and dare to do something which, for all we know, most people are only going to laugh at. We still do it to be extraordinary. To not settle for mediocrity; even if it means doing something completely crazy. We challenge the status quo.

This “urgency” is not a panicky, anxious urgency, but a spirited, engaged urgency that propels our people to move ideas along and get busy. We demonstrate and communicate the need for urgency – through action, behaviors and words. We try eliminating our team’s non-urgent tasks, delegate more work, speak with passion – even walk faster, to show a sense of purpose. All that is important is this one moment in movement. Make the moment important, vital, and worth living. Do not let it slip away unnoticed and unused. Getting a lot done in a short period of time in a calm and confident manner is our core competency.

It involves using your power to change and to offer the most practical responses to problems you are facing or one of your team members is facing. There are two components of taking responsibility. One is accepting personal responsibility and the other is accepting indirect responsibility. Taking personal responsibility refers to taking ownership of your own actions and their consequences. Indirect responsibility involves moving beyond yourself to take necessary action to help other people. Taking responsibility also requires changing your mindset. This may sound cheesy, but reciting to yourself, “If it is to be, it is up to me” is simple to remember and will remind you that you’re responsible for doing anything that you’re able to do if there is a need.
