Wastewater treatment
LAMELLA CLARIFIER (LC)
The Lamella Clarifier (LC) is a highly efficient sedimentation device used for solid-liquid separation in water and wastewater treatment. Its compact design and high settling capacity make it ideal for applications in municipal water treatment, industrial effluent processing, and as a primary or secondary clarifier in various industries including food, chemicals, textiles, and pharmaceuticals.
The LC operates on the principle of inclined plate settling. Wastewater flows upward through a series of closely spaced, inclined lamella plates. As the liquid passes between these plates, suspended solids settle onto the surfaces and slide down to the bottom collection zone. The clarified water continues upward and is discharged from the top. This configuration increases the effective settling area without occupying large floor space.
Avlon’s Lamella Clarifiers are designed for space-saving, high-efficiency performance. Our systems feature corrosion-resistant materials, modular construction, low maintenance needs, and seamless integration with other treatment units—ensuring long-term reliability and compliance with DENR discharge standards.
